OpenText has developed a connector specifically designed to allow RightFax users to automatically import, manage and send document images—through their Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 document libraries. Review, index, manage and distribute document images in SharePoint libraries enabling automation of business processes.

Since a captured image is typically the start of a business process needing automation, the OpenText RightFax easily enables automatic import of document images sent from MFPs, scanners and fax. Document Images imported from RightFax automatically populate configured SharePoint libraries so users can select files for additional business processes using, routing, OCR and data workflow systems.

For instance, a common loan process is the acceptance of a rapid credit review and pre-qualification request. These are typically received as completed forms faxed to the mortgage company. With the Fax Server Connector for SharePoint, these forms automatically appear inside SharePoint as captured images that can now participate in a review process and approval workflow.
